Zach Shives

Pastor Zach Shives was raised in a godly Christian home and grew up in Maryland, Oklahoma, and Texas. He accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of eleven and began training for ministry as a young man. After High School, he attended Heartland Baptist Bible College and graduated with honors in 2014. Since then, he has continued to further his education and is a dedicated lifelong learner.

He has over 10 years of full-time ministry experience. For almost 7 years, he served as an associate pastor, youth pastor, worship leader, and children's minister at Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Texas. For several summers, he also served on staff at Silver State Baptist Youth Camp in Sedalia, CO.

In 2021, Pastor Shives started preparations to plant Keene Baptist Church. After planning and raising support, the church launched in January of 2023.

Pastor Shives and his wife, Kate, have 5 precious children. As a family, they enjoy reading, music, hiking, and skiing.

The Shives family has a deep love for the community of Keene and a passion to see people come to Christ.
